Public bug reported:

I'm trying to work on a repo with lots of images (102,377 items, flat
structure).
And whenever I open the folder, nautilus either freezes or crash, or if lucky
show up in a few minutes. I can only do a few "searches" at a time, otherwise
nautilus crashes.

I know this could be a bit of a weird scenario (that many images), but
unfortunately that's just what I'm stuck with.
I've tried thunar which worked way better (nothing freezes/crashes), but search
still takes too long.

My current workaround is basically to use macos and transfer the files i
need over to ubuntu. Which is not ideal at all. Another workflow I'm
trying to explore is yazi (no freezes, lags at all, search works great).

If there's any other suggestions at all to make this work with nautilus,
that would be awesome. Thanks

This might be a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/26198 - but it
was from 2010 so wasn't too sure.
