Many thanks 'misanjumn' for having successfully tested the updated crash
utility in version 9.0.1 in 26.04 and for confirming that the reported issue is
fixed with it.
Since the Ubuntu version 25.04, where this was initially reported, is a non-LTS
release and is meanwhile out of service, and the current 26.04 is going to be
released within this month, I am closing this ticket as Fix Released for 26.04.
