Bug 177027 is a dup of this one: Click on tracker-applet, it's opened. If you click outside it, it should be closed. This is what this bug says. But why it isn't closed? Because it isn't focused, due to #176892. If you open tracker-applet, click on the window so it's focused, and then click on your desktop, then the applet will be closed.
