Based upon comment 8 it would appear that the test case could be re-
jigged so it doesn't require a Windows installation? If so, that would
significantly ease verification of the fix once in proposed.

The fix itself (in the associated gnome-settings-daemon debdiff) looks
plausible and minimal, is well-formatted with DEP-3 headers, and has a
correct version for SRU to questing. One minor change required: lintian
complains d/changelog has incorrect day for the timestamp specified
(Saturday, not Friday). Sponsoring for questing with fixed d/changelog:

Uploading gnome-settings-daemon_49.0-1ubuntu3.1.dsc
Uploading gnome-settings-daemon_49.0-1ubuntu3.1.debian.tar.xz
Uploading gnome-settings-daemon_49.0-1ubuntu3.1_source.buildinfo
Uploading gnome-settings-daemon_49.0-1ubuntu3.1_source.changes
