Hi Holger,
Thanks for reporting this issue back in 2006. The crash you described
with dynamically loaded modules has been fixed in libnotify version
0.4.3, and all current Ubuntu releases ship with much newer versions
(0.7.6+). This means the fix is already included in your system if
you're on a supported release.
No action is needed from you. If you're still experiencing this issue,
please verify you're running a current Ubuntu release.
