This is not a bug with Ubuntu or the kernel.
Problem 1 - You are using an old version of amdgpu-dkms module.
6.16.13.30300000-2278356.24.04 is the latest release. If you have problems
building that on 6.17 kernel, please report the issue to AMD.
Problem 2- You have a Polaris GPU, which does not support ROCm. So I'm not sure
what you're going to gain by installing the proprietary AMD driver.
