Hello, I tried today to remove apparmor from my system along with evince. Doing so the packages: gir1.2-gtksource-4 libevdocument-4.0-6 libevview-4.0-5
became obsolete and I removed them. I also removed the .cache/thumbnails folder I rebooted and installed apparmor and rebooted again. Inside my folders the thumbnails appeared as normal. The only icons that didn't appear during the process were the desktop ones. I removed once again the .cache/thumbnails folder and rebooted and Desktop thumbnails of pdf files were back!
