I am seeing this on ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS 6.8.0-101-generic on a Framework laptop.
I have tried "forgetting" the wifi connection and re-adding it, rebooting, but
the problem remains.
It logs in fine, automatically, everything seems to work fine, still shows ?

$ sudo lshw -c network

I have been messing with wifi addng and removing the hotspot and connections
while trying to diagnose a problem on a different system, but all of those
connections have been removed. However, I am not dead certain the remaining
"Hotspot" connection is the original one -- at one point there were 3, as
reported by "nmcli -f CONNECTIONS.AVAILABLE-CONNECTIONS dev show wlp170s0".
I deleted the "latest" 2 using their id. No new ones appear when turning the
Hotspot on via the Settings app, so I'm assuming it is the correct/original one:

$ nmcli -f CONNECTIONS.AVAILABLE-CONNECTIONS dev show wlp170s0
CONNECTIONS.AVAILABLE-CONNECTIONS[1]:   <conn-id-1> | <newsys>
CONNECTIONS.AVAILABLE-CONNECTIONS[2]:   <conn-id-2> | <my-wifi>
CONNECTIONS.AVAILABLE-CONNECTIONS[3]:   <conn-id-3> | Hotspot

When I turn off the Hotspot, wifi automatically reconnects but I get a
notice saying "Sign in to Wi-Fi Network" or something like that --
*after* it has already reconnected.
