Public bug reported: I started the live image Ubuntu 26.04 LTS _Resolute Raccoon_ - Daily amd64 (20260316)
During the startup loading, scary looking error popped to the screen. I don't have exact screenshot, but I think it was this part I found from the dmesg: [ 16.805645] b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43/ucode30_mimo.fw" not found [ 16.805670] b43-phy0 ERROR: Firmware file "b43-open/ucode30_mimo.fw" not found [ 16.805694] b43-phy0 ERROR: You must go to https://wireless.docs.kernel.org/en/latest/en/users/drivers/b43/developers.html#list-of-firmware and download the correct firmware for this driver version. Please I don't think that this is a problem, at least for me as I don't use the wireless on my computer, but the error might scare someone who is not familiar with it as it just pops out to screen that has pretty much nothing on it. I will attach full dmesg as a file in case it helps. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "dmesg output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2145090/+attachment/5954546/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2145090 Title: ERROR: Firmware file "b43/ucode30_mimo.fw" not found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2145090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
