Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

Enabling metacity's new composite manager breaks Gnome Do. Do pops up a
ARGB splash window which is displayed correctly the first time this is
shown, but subsequent attempts to show this window result in nothing
being drawn on the screen. The window is still being created, since it
accepts keyboard input and Do works normally except for not displaying
anything. Killing Do and starting a new Do process will again show the
splash window the first time but not subsequent times.

Since this works with using either xcompmgr or Compiz as the compositing
manager, I'm fairly sure it's a metacity bug.

** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Low
         Status: Confirmed
