Public bug reported:
On kernel 6.8.0-84-generic the onboard Realtek Ethernet (driver r8169) stopped
working.
dmesg shows:
r8169 0000:11:00.0: error -ENODEV: unknown chip XID 688
On kernel 6.8.0-83-generic Ethernet works fine.
Additionally, my onboard Realtek Wi-Fi (rtw89_8922ae) does not work on either
6.8.0-83 or 6.8.0-84.
dmesg shows:
rtw89_8922ae 0000:10:00.0: no suitable firmware found
This may be a separate issue, but I mention it here for context.
Output of lspci -nnk | grep -A3 Ethernet:
