Public bug reported:
ProblemType: Crash
DistroRelease: Ubuntu Kylin 25.10
LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu-Kylin 25.10 "Questing Quokka" - Daily amd64 (20250909)
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.17.0-3.3-generic 6.17.0-rc3
Package: ukui-menu 3.03-1build4
What happened:
ukui-menu crashes (segfault) immediately after switching language format of
date, time, and currency format to English in a UKUI session on a live session
of Ubuntu.
What I expected:
ukui-menu should remain stable when changing input language/layout.
Scope:
Reproduced both on QEMU/KVM VM and on live USB on physical hardware (HP
Envy x360 Convertible 13m-bd0xxx, i7-1165G7, Iris Xe).
Reproducibility:
Always.
Steps to reproduce:
Boot Ubuntu Kylin live session from USB or in QEMU/KVM.
Open the settings and switch language for the time/date format from
Simplified Chinese to English.
Observe ukui-menu segfaults and restarts/disappears.
