Some new observations: I tried the snap build from https://launchpad.net/~nteodosio/+snap/ff- krb/+build/2896075/+files/firefox_142.0b9-1_arm64.snap and that didn't work, neither did it generate any meaningful log output.
I tried the current cheese snap stable branch and that also doesn't work but gives me: [27321.648257] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.506:946): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.649262] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.507:947): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.649277] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.507:948): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=140 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f831cc code=0x50000 [27321.814503] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.671:949): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.814533] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.672:950): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.814858] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.673:951): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.822328] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.680:952): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=140 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f831cc code=0x50000 [27321.838166] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.696:953): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese:ir3q3" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 [27321.838171] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.696:954): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese:ir3q3" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=140 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f831cc code=0x50000 [27321.895403] audit: type=1326 audit(1757107464.753:955): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=23 subj=snap.cheese.cheese pid=153917 comm="cheese" exe="/snap/cheese/80/usr/bin/cheese" sig=0 arch=c00000b7 syscall=122 compat=0 ip=0xffffa4f2c834 code=0x50000 What's interesting is that it seems to work partly. On my device there are a few unusable v4l2 camera node s and one that actually works. In wpctl status this shows as: ├─ Devices: │ 38. Qualcomm Camera Subsystem [v4l2] │ 43.
