That makes sense, although I'm unsure if a quirk can solve this issue.
What is the implementation issue on the hardware side that warrants this
kind of fix? From my limited digging on the issue, this line:
[ 4.076687] int3472-tps68470 i2c-INT3472:05: error -ENODEV: No board-
data found for this model
seems to indicate what's missing is a driver definition for the laptop.
This would also typically have to be submitted upstream to the Linux
kernel before we can merge it back in our tree.
