I can confirm this issue on an HP Pavilion HP HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-ca1xxx system using Fedora 40 (Linux 6.15.10-200.fc42.x86_64).
The internal speakers (B&O) do not work under Linux (I tried different distributions). Only Bluetooth output works. Headphones **do not** work either. The same hardware works perfectly under Windows. I attempted to retask pins with `hdajackretask`. Pin 0x17 is shown as "Internal Speaker" (and overridden), but it has no effect. PipeWire, PulseAudio, and WirePlumber were fully stopped and killed before testing. No sound is ever produced from the internal speaker regardless of configuration. I also tested various `model=` options (alc274-dell-aio, auto, basic, etc.) in `/etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf`, without success. Here are my system details: --- **Audio Codecs** ``` cat /proc/asound/card\*/codec\* | grep Codec Codec: Realtek ALC274 Codec: Intel Alderlake HDMI ``` **PCI Device** ``` lspci -nnk | grep -A2 Audio 0000:00:1f.3 Audio device \[0403]: Intel Corporation Alder Lake-S HD Audio Controller \[8086:7ad0] (rev 11) DeviceName: Onboard - Sound Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device \[103c:89e9] ``` **Kernel** ``` uname -a Linux Fedora 6.15.10-200.fc42.x86\_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT\_DYNAMIC Fri Aug 15 15:57:06 UTC 2025 x86\_64 GNU/Linux ``` **DMI Information** ``` System Information Manufacturer: HP Product Name: HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-ca1xxx SKU Number: 6Z7J0EA#ABE BIOS Version: F.16 (08/22/2023) Baseboard Manufacturer: HP Product Name: 89E9 Onboard Device Reference Designation: Onboard - Sound Bus Address: 0000:00:1f.3 ``` Please let me know if I can provide more debugging information (alsa- info, logs etc.).
