Public bug reported:

Prior to GNOME 49, Edubuntu was able to customize the GDM theme as well
as the logo shown in System Settings -> System -> About. Unfortunately,
GNOME 49 undoes all of that.

Please provide guidance on if there is a new customization option. If
this is a hard-coded change, that is unacceptable and a patch must be
provided.
