With 10.1 now being final and the test systems back up it is time again
to re-check again if the glimpse of something similar affecting cross
release migrations is reproducible. If so that would be a different bug.
This bug initially about save/restore and in-release migrations will be
closed with 10.1 final due tot he revert they have done on our report.
