with this new firmware package, I tested it multiple times as follows:
OK :) worked
KO :( failed to power-off

- 2 attempts to power-off, from GDM, before logging in: OK :)
- 2 attempts from Gnome session: KO :(
- 2 attempts to logout from Gnome and power-off from GDM: KO :(
- 2 attempts to logout, access from a terminal, kill the process mpris-proxy
(belongs to package bluez): OK :)

I haven't done this same test with the previous firmware package. If I
try to remove bluez, it has only one dependency: gnome-bluetooth-sendto

p.s.: I'll be trying again and again.
