It is a general requirement for SRUs that all later supported ubuntu releases also get the same fix. This is specifically important for SRUs that enable new hardware.
In this particular case, if we SRU this to noble but not plucky, noble users who upgrade to plucky won't be able to update the firmware on this particular dell dock, is that correct? It would be a regression for these users. https://documentation.ubuntu.com/sru/en/latest/reference/requirements/#general- requirements-for-all-srus -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2116567 Title: [SRU] Add Dell SD25TB5 and AIO system MTK scalar IC firmware update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/2116567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
