Public bug reported:

The Ubuntu 24.04 iso fails during install. The USB drive works with
25.04 but not 24.04.

After boot, the splash screen is displayed with the 'Microsoft' wheelie.
The LED on the USB device blinks, indicating access.

After a few seconds, the screen goes black and the LED continues to
blink for ~20 seconds or so and then stops.

for the next 20 minutes, no activity. Can not ping the machine.
