It indeed sounds very weird - Entering the encryption password should
only unlock the disk, not authenticate the user session. Normally, you
should still be prompted for your user account password.

I hope - This was likely a one-off authentication race or
misconfiguration.

Since the bug did not recur, it may be difficult for developers to fix
without logs or reproduction steps, but your detailed report (and logs
if it happens again) will be valuable for the maintainers in tracking
down and patching a potential bug.

I'll mark this public security in the meanwhile - so that others can see
and provide feedback.
