Public bug reported:

MySQL 8.4 provides the ability to compile with tcmalloc using the
WITH_TCMALLOC cmake directive, and jemalloc using WITH_JEMALLOC.
LD_PRELOAD can also be used for either during runtime. It would be nice
to provide mysql with one of these by default to improve memory
allocation and speed for all users. Based on recommendations upstream,
tcmalloc is preferred due to its consistency.
