I compared the curtin logs of my install on VM and on real hardware. VM:
Curtin config dependencies requires additional packages: ['zfsutils- linux', 'zfs-initramfs', 'zfsutils-linux', 'zfs-initramfs'] XPS 9320 Curtin config dependencies requires additional packages: ['cryptsetup', 'zfsutils-linux', 'zfs-initramfs', 'zfsutils-linux', 'zfs-initramfs'] cryptsetup comes as a dependency when `type: dm_crypt` is found in the partitioning config. For some reason this is not the case on the VM. As a consequence cryptsetup-initramfs did not get installed on the VM and I think this is the reason why first boot failed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2119293 Title: Target VM does not boot after installing with zfs+encryption To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/2119293/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
