Tested on jammy-proposed ----------------------------------------- I can confirm that with snapd=2.68.5+ubuntu22.04.1 on a fresh 22.04 install the issue no longer exists and the test steps from above are successful.
With reexec disabled, I first tested with snapd=2.63+22.04ubuntu0.1. I installed the chromium browser and saw the progress bar never progress beyond 20%. I then installed 2.68.5 root@jammy:~# apt install snapd=2.68.5+ubuntu22.04.1 root@jammy:~# snap version snap 2.68.5+ubuntu22.04.1 snapd 2.68.5+ubuntu22.04.1 series 16 ubuntu 22.04 kernel 6.14.0-24-generic I installed chromium browser and saw the progress bar go beyond 20%.
