Report:

- The case fans (bequiet) randomly ramp up to maximum speed for no apparent
reason (temperatures are absolutely fine, even under low load).
- Frequency: depending on usage, this happens 3–4 times per day.
- The only workaround is a full shutdown and power-on cycle; after a regular
reboot the issue persists.
- Fan curves have been adjusted in the BIOS; CPU fan = PWM, case fans = DC
(according to AMD/Ryzen recommendations).
- This issue did not occur with kernel 6.8.4-62/3.
- (Unfortunately, I cannot use 6.14.0-24 as my printer does not work with that
kernel.)

Troubleshooting steps so far:

- Adjusted fan curves in BIOS (Q-Fan) – settings are not lost on reboot.
- Installed and configured corectrl and lm-sensors
- sensors does not detect any mainboard or case fans.
- Removed sensors/corectrl again, as research suggests they might even trigger
the bug.
- Ran sensors-detect
- No mainboard or case fans/sensors detected.
- Attempted fancontrol setup
- Aborted, as there are no controllable sensors/fans found.
- Tested with different kernel versions (could be a coincidence)
- Issue did not occur with older kernels; happens with current kernel.
- Checked autostart entries and background services.
- Extensive research – no final solution found, as Asus does not provide
documentation for their Super I/O chips on AM5 boards, and thus no suitable
Linux drivers exist.

I would be very happy about a solution or advice. Thank you in advance.
