The accelerometer does not work on systems with Chrome EC firmware - this includes chromebook's and other systems. Upstream has merged a fix but it might be a while before a new release is made. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/iio-sensor-proxy/-/merge_requests/400 This bug only exists in 3.7, not in previous versions of the package.
