I've just stumbled on the same rookie mistake when installing KUbuntu 25.04.
The first thing installer asks is language selection, and if you select e.g. Russian, you've immediately got keyboard layout with no Latin letters and no apparent way to switch back (I tried a few combos). Meaning you can't even connect to wi-fi since you can't input network password. It gets worse since you can't supply a Latin1 safe password on some next step. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2105439 Title: Kubuntu 25.04 beta calamares installer keyboard layout selection does not change keyboard layout during installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/2105439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
