You are too defensive, and you missed my point completely. Your default is bad 
for home users and for small businesses. They need their VM info accessible and 
readable in an accessible default directory, not inaccessible and hidden deep 
into the root directory. The disk space used by their VMs use should also be 
easily accessible and surely not hidden for the home user! 
Don't think, it took me years to understand it all, so let's keep it 
complicated!
