The system was previously experiencing random kernel + panics, which were thought to have been resolved by purging a + conflicting system-wide ROCm installation. What I expected to happen: The Flatpak application 'Supercell WX' should launch normally. What happened instead: The moment the application is launched, the system instantly reboots without displaying a visual kernel panic message on screen. No "Kernel Panic" or "BUG" messages are written to the journalctl logs from the crashed boot; the log simply cuts off. --- CRITICAL EVIDENCE OF REGRESSION: --- This crash ONLY occurs on the newer kernel. The application runs perfectly on the older kernel. * BAD KERNEL (crashes): 6.14.0-24-generic * GOOD KERNEL (works mostly perfectly): 6.11.0-29-generic g30@g30-Z690-AORUS-MASTER:~$ uname -r 6.11.0-29-generic --- SYSTEM AND APPLICATION DETAILS: --- 1. Release of Ubuntu: g30@g30-Z690-AORUS-MASTER:~$ lsb_release -rd No LSB modules are available. Description: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS Release: 24.04 2. Trigger Application Information (Flatpak): The crash is triggered by launching the Flatpak application net.supercellwx.app. Runtime: org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/23.08 3. The log from the previous boot journalctl -b -1) simply ends without any specific error messages related to the crash itself, showing only normal system activity up to the point of the reboot. Thank you for your time.
