The file name encodes the DCN hardware IP version, not the microcode version.
Your hardware has "DCN 3.5.1". For future reference, here is a handy- dandy decoder for launched products. https://docs.kernel.org/gpu/amdgpu/amd-hardware-list- info.html#accelerated-processing-units-apu-info So what you'll want to do is rename /usr/lib/firmware/amdgpu/dcn_3_5_1_dmcub.bin.zst to another name (like /usr/lib/firmware/amdgpu/dcn_3_5_1_dmcub.bin.zst.old) and then take the one you just downloaded, compress it using zstd and replace the old one. You should then run `sudo update-initramfs -u` to update your initramfs in case it was placed in there (it depends upon your install configuration if that is done). Then reboot your system and see if the issue goes away. If the issue still happens, please share an updated kernel log and there will be a line showing what version of that microcode was loaded. We can make sure it was in place. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2115969 Title: GUI freeze on KDE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oem-6.14/+bug/2115969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
