Ah, sorry, now I remember that `()(64bit)` is hard-coded to translate to `amd64`, so then it doesn't match any ARM package! That will be something else to fix... I'm not sure it warrants a verification-failed because it does not cause regressions, but if you prefer we can do so and keep the bug open.
Sorry for not noticing earlier -- I actually remember learning about this detail many months ago but then it slipped my mind... and I hadn't noticed this bug was originally reported for ARM (though it really does affect both ARM and X86) > In any case, if this needs a restart of packagekit.service, should we include something in e.g. debian/packagekit.postinst? PackageKit is in no way special with respect to any other daemon being updated. I think we already have `needrestart` for that, if configured. Also packagekitd will exit-on-idle after a while so it's not a big deal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060730 Title: totem cannot install codecs via packagekit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/app-center/+bug/2060730/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
