I have confirmed that on Jammy, if I just install the -updates package (8.0.42-0ubuntu0.22.04.1) then 'logrotate --force /etc/logrotate.d/mysql-server' does complain, but when I add -proposed and update again (8.0.42-0ubuntu0.22.04.2), logrotate no longer complains.
The same is also true for noble vs noble-proposed.
