Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and contributing to Ubuntu. This is a well written report.
Can you test which dhcpcd configuration is needed to avoid the inconsistent client IDs? Will adding "clientid" to /usr/share/initramfs- tools/hooks/dhcpcd be enough or do we need to replace "duid ll" by "clientid" or do we need to just drop "duid ll"? debian/changelog says: "To ease testing, always use the link-layer address as DHCP unique identifier (DUID-LL) for DHCPv6.". So in case of changes we need to tweak the dnsmasq configuration in the qemu-net- dnsmasq and qemu-net-iscsi autopkgtests. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2109847 Title: initramfs DHCP uses inconsistent client IDs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/2109847/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
