Public bug reported:

System: Ubuntu (Wayland and Xorg tested)
NVIDIA Driver: 570 (installed via GUI or with DKMS in terminal)
Kernel versions tested: 6.8.0-51/53/62/63 and 6.11 (issue present)

Issue Summary:
When using the NVIDIA 570 driver on Ubuntu with kernel 6.8 or 6.11:
- Under Xorg: after the login screen, the system becomes unresponsive for about
2 minutes before any application can be launched.
- Under Wayland: the issue does not occur.

Installing the 570 driver (even upgrading from 550) caused a total system
failure under kernel 6.8.0-62:
*The OS was no longer bootable.
        *Partitions could not be mounted.
*Recovery was only possible by reverting to an earlier kernel.

Note: Installation via both the graphical interface and terminal with
DKMS yields the same behavior.

No problem with the driver 550.

Regards
