Hello Juerg, Thank you for your previous guidance.
I have successfully updated to kernel `6.14.0-1005-oem`. `uname -r` confirms I am running `6.14.0-1005-oem`. The good news is that "Dummy Output" is no longer present in the sound settings. Now, "HDMI / DisplayPort - Built-in Audio" is available as an output device, which indicates the audio device is now correctly recognized by the kernel. However, the main issue persists: When I select "HDMI / DisplayPort - Built-in Audio" as the output device, video playback (e.g., YouTube, local video files) freezes or stops. There is still no audible sound from the HDMI output. When I switch back to "Built-in Audio" (for internal speakers/headphones), video playback resumes normally with sound. Please note, I had already attempted to test an earlier `6.14.0-22-generic` kernel from `noble-proposed` before installing `6.14.0-1005-oem`, and the issue was present with that kernel as well. This suggests that while the HDMI audio device is now recognized, there might be a problem with the actual audio stream reaching the HDMI output, or a synchronization issue with video. Could you please provide further guidance on how to diagnose this specific behavior? If there are any other updates or diagnostics you need me to perform, please let me know.
