Coming back to this bug after a while.

a) libapache2-mod-python was last shipped in ubuntu in oracular. It was
removed from ubuntu due to this FTBFS[1] (failure to build) in debian.
Debian still has it, though, in unstable (not testing), and that bug is
still open.

b) The upstream commit[2] applies cleanly to noble, and oracular (same
package version). I prepared a PPA with the fix:

Mike, if you are still lurking on this bug, would you mind to test this
noble package once it's built?
