Hi, sorry it took me so long to respond. I had to play catch up after
having my computer unbootable for a few days, and I didn't feel like
breaking everything to reproduce this bug again.

Just to be clear, the combination that I'm using that IS working is
Ubuntu/Kubuntu 24.04 with nvidia-driver-550-open. This is the latest
version of the driver that I've been able to use without experiencing
this issue. However, I need to be able to install nvidia-driver-570-open
and CUDA 12.6 for an important project, so this combination is
unacceptable to me long term.

But I tried again today to install nvidia-driver-570-open, and the same
issue occurred. Attached is the output of the journalctl commands you
requested.

Also, there does not appear to be a way to disable the Aspeed integrated
graphics in the BIOS. Is there a way I could prevent it from being used
in the kernel boot params to see if that's the issue?
