I have a similar problem on Xfce with every snap-installed application, not just Chromium: for example Thunderbird and Signal. When these apps are updated, the desktop shortcut I created on my Xfce desktop loses the original icon and gets a placeholder icon instead.
(I created the desktop shortcut by dragging from the Xfce menu) This seems to be because the icon path in menu entries changes with every update: it points to something like `/snap/signal- desktop/799/meta/gui/icon.png`. It should probably instead point to `/snap/signal- desktop/current/meta/gui/icon.png`, so that user-created app shortcuts do not get broken by updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1851490 Title: [snap] Favourite entry for chromium disappears with every update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1851490/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
