Public bug reported:

When performing large file operations (e.g., copying a large directory)
from a system drive encrypted with LUKS/LVM to a VeraCrypt volume
formatted with exFAT, the system experiences a kernel deadlock. This
leads to a complete system freeze, sometimes followed by a USB bus
disconnect, requiring a hard reboot. The issue is reproducible on my
system across three separate external VeraCrypt drives.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Linux Mint with the default LUKS full-disk encryption option (which
creates a LUKS container with LVM).
2. Create a VeraCrypt volume on an external USB SSD/drive. Format the
filesystem inside the VeraCrypt volume as exFAT.
3. Mount the VeraCrypt volume.
4. Attempt to copy a large directory (many gigabytes with thousands of files)
from the the user's home directory on the LUKS-encrypted system drive to exFAT
VeraCrypt volume.
5. Observe the system. The file copy will hang, the system will become
unresponsive, and a kernel deadlock will occur.
