I remembered Thunderbird deb is also a deb->snap package, for which, contrary to Firefox and Chromium, I didn't submit the work-around, so I used it to test.
But Snapd 2.68.4 is already fine, as Snapd doesn't stay radio silent during the installation (c.f. attached screen-shot). So either this fix already made it into 2.68.4 or maybe this SRU is moot. ** Attachment added: "2025-06-11-114405_1920x1080_scrot.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1886414/+attachment/5883398/+files/2025-06-11-114405_1920x1080_scrot.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1886414 Title: the chromium snap takes a long time to install without visible user feedback, seems stuck To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1886414/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
