FWIW, I re-built the current gtk4 in 24.04.02 (4.14.2+ds-1ubuntu3, commit e9ef30cd) with "x11: Remove last_wmspec_check_time" (commit ec14f9a4) applied on top. Installing the modified libgtk-4-1, libgtk-4-bin and libgtk-4-common fixes the issue on my machine running 24.04.02 and doesn't seem to cause any issues. The commit hashes refer to https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/gtk4.git.
Attached is the Dockerfile I used to build the modified gtk4 packages. ** Attachment added: "Docker file used to build modified gtk4 packages for 24.04.02 which fix the issue" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/2064177/+attachment/5883311/+files/Dockerfile -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2064177 Title: Window borders and shadows missing from GTK3 dialogs (if autologin is enabled and Xorg is used) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/2064177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
