Same issue with a Tyan S8056GME-HOV-B and all the Genoas I could test: 9124, 9254, 9454, 9554 and 9654. Adding "blacklist ae4dma" to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf fixes the issue. A similar issue was mentioned in https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/[email protected]/ and patches were offered.
It looks like they were merged in 6.15: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/drivers/dma/amd/ae4dma?h=v6.15 I'll try to boot a 6.15 kernel and report back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2106553 Title: Epyc Genoa system unable to boot starting with Kernel 6.14.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2106553/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
