I found a fix at Debian: https://gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues/343#note_2400453574 Daltux wrote: Changing /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/nala/downloader.py line 406 indeed fixes the issue on Debian "trixie/sid". The diff is:
user@host:/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/nala$ diff downloader.py.bak downloader.py 406c406 < proxies=self.proxy, --- > mounts=self.proxy, Manual changing of this line resolved my problem - for now! Apparently the issue is solved upstream, so hopefully the package maintainer can fix it quickly. There seems to be a PPA with a patched version by quan: Those who use Ubuntu 25.04 can get nala v0.16 (which has fixed this issue) via https://launchpad.net/~ng-hong-quan/+archive/ubuntu/ppa.(https://gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues/343#note_2510864874) ** Bug watch added: gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues #343 https://gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues/343 ** Bug watch added: launchpad.net/~ng-hong-quan/+archive/ubuntu/ppa.(https://gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues #343 https://launchpad.net/~ng-hong-quan/+archive/ubuntu/ppa.(https:/gitlab.com/volian/nala/-/issues/343 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111734 Title: Nala version 0.15.4 on Ubuntu 25.04 (Codename : Plucky Puffin) is getting Traceback and TypeError: AsyncClient.__init__() Type Error While installing or upgrading packages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nala/+bug/2111734/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
