It looks like the Toshiba hard disk might be the bottleneck as the
system log is flooded with UFW (firewall) messages. Try this:
sudo ufw logging off
** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => ubuntu
** Changed in: ubuntu
Status: New => Incomplete
