Why was this regressive limitation introduced in newer kernel builds, and what benefits does it give? We have a client on a distant location, which makes UDP a preferable option due to high latency. However, it is not possible to mount an NFS share there with the proto=udp option. The bug is confirmed and is not marked WontFix nor fixed. I am confused.
