Public bug reported:

Each time the screen locks (e.g. blank screen due to inactivity), once
unlocked the ubuntu dock is no longer there, opening the extensions
manager I can see that all the switches are on but grey as if they are
off, toggling them off and back on restores everything: the dock
reappears and all is back to normal.

NB: toggling off and on just the "Use Extensions" switch works only for
user-installed extensions, System extensions (such as Ubuntu Dock) have
to be double toggled individually.

I have tried disabling non-system extensions but with no effect.

System info:
Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
GNOME Shell 46.0
Extension Manager 0.5.0

I'm not sure what other information is useful, so please let me know.

** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
