Public bug reported:

mdadm package is not currently being tested before being promoted to newer
versions in Ubuntu.
It doesn't have build tests, and failing autopkgtests is not a blocker.

The software is not well written - flags to skip the linear tests don't
work (that flag is not checked while running tests), and some options
don't follow the documentation and the manpage (Example: the
02lineargrow test which uses --grow with --add)

This upstream fix fixes the --grow with -add bug, but this bug should be
considered a general bug to fix the autopkgtests (which needs more
work): https://github.com/md-raid-
utilities/mdadm/commit/c09ae8417dc9e11da1d5bf2867c6498050c6ddb9

** Affects: mdadm (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
