Same issue here on my Lenovo Legion Y9000X IAH7, dual-booting Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04. Headphones would only produce static noise. (continuous puf sound)
Tried everything: reinstalling drivers, tweaking ALSA config, switching to PulseAudio——nothing worked. Then I followed this method: completely shutting down Windows (not restarting) before booting into Ubuntu, and the headphones worked fine. Note that even with Windows Fast Startup disabled, the issue persists if rebooting directly from Windows to Ubuntu. I don't know what Windows does to my hardware during reboot, but now——everything has been resolved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1984157 Title: [Lenovo Legion Y9000X IAH7 (82TF), Realtek ALC287, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1984157/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
