Public bug reported:
[Impact]
Can't reconnect the wifi(MT7925) after Oracular 6.11.0-26.26 which includes the
commit from upstream stable update
ff6a34984ba13 wifi: mt76: mt7925: Cleanup MLO settings post-disconnection
[Fix]
The commit in 6.15-rc1 fixes the issue
0ebb60da8416c wifi: mt76: mt7925: adjust rm BSS flow to prevent next connection
failure
This commit depends on many other patches which are hard to backport to 6.11
kernel.
So, simply revert ff6a34984ba13 ("wifi: mt76: mt7925: Cleanup MLO settings
post-disconnection") for now, and will submit another SRU later if MTK could
provide us a fix for 6.11 kernel.
[Test]
1. Boot up the machine with MT7925 wifi card
2. Connect to the wifi AP with ssid = "Canonical"
3. Run "sudo nmcli c down Canonical"
4. Run "sudo nmcli c up Canonical"
5. Wifi should come back and work as normal
[Where problems could occur]
The reverted commit reset the MLO settings which is a feature in WiFi 7.
Howerer, we don't support MT7925 WiFi 7 on 6.11 kernel, so it should be safe to
revert this commit.
