I did a test case for this bug at https://github.com/sergio- costas/test_libxmlb2 by extracting the base code from snap-store and the data files that triggered the problem. By putting the current, upstream, libxmlb code, the test passes; by removing the patch in that same come, it fails exactly like it happens in this bug. Unfortunately, I can test it only on Jammy because the extracted code requires some libraries from gnome-software that aren't available in Focal, only in Jammy.
